Heathrow Airport confirms partial service disruption after cyberattack

LONDON, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- Londonآ’s Heathrow Airport announced Saturday that part of its services were disrupted following a cyberattack on Collins Aerospace, the U.S. company providing passenger check-in and boarding systems to several European airports.
Heathrow, the UKآ’s largest airport said the technical failure partially affected departing passenger procedures and urged travelers to check with their airlines and avoid arriving at the airport more than three hours before departure.
The announcement came after other European airports, including Berlin and Brussels, confirmed facing similar technical issues linked to the same service provider.(end) mrn.hs
