Russian Pres. announces increase of weapons manufacturing by thirtyfold

MOSCOW, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday announced that the weapons manufacturing in Russia had increased by thirtyfold in the past two years and that they will continue to develop their military and its capability even after the War in Ukraine is over.
In a speech he delivered to workers at the Motovilikha artillery and missile factory in Perm, on the occasion of the Arms maker's Day, he said "Russia will continue to develop and modernize its armed forces, even after the expiration of its special military mandate in Ukraine." He added, "Russia's highly demanded weapons and equipment have seen significant increases in production rates in recent years," and that "these defensive capabilities enhance Russia's internal security and contribute to maintaining the balance of power internationally." Every year on September 19, Russia celebrates "Gunsmith's Day," a holiday attended by employees of the military-industrial complex, Russian weapons developers, and experts historian who specialize in weapons and the study of Russian weaponry.
