KUWAIT, Sep 17 (KUNA) -- The General Administration of Customs announced Wednesday it had foiled an attempt to smuggle 60 kilograms of marijuana concealed inside animal feed bags on a ship owned by a local company.
In a press release, the Customs administration said the investigation led to the seizure of the large quantity of marijuana, confirming that the ship was impounded and the necessary legal measures were taken.
The seized items were referred to the competent authorities to proceed with legal actions.
Customs reaffirmed its commitment to combating all attempts to smuggle prohibited substances into the country. (end)
