Arab League Chief: Israeli occupation in isolation due to heinous crimes

CAIRO, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abu al-Gheit said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation is experiencing international isolation due to its own greed for power that have overshadowed the thinking of its leaders.
The Israeli occupation has been condemned in the world's public opinion, due to the repercussions of the genocide and its disregard for human lives, which have forever tarnished its reputation, added Abu al-Gheit following a meeting with Palestinian Foreign Minister Varsen Aghabekian.
She explained that the meeting addressed the Palestinian situation on various levels, especially the Israeli occupation's insistence on carrying out its illegal war in Gaza and its thwarting of all efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire agreement.
The Arab League reaffirmed its commitment to the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the borders of 1967, considering it the only way to achieve peace in the region. (end) mm.sas
