Kuwait PM chairs meeting on waste tires, public cleaning contracts

KUWAIT, Aug 20 (KUNA)-- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah chaired a meeting at Bayan Palace to review a plan for handling damaged and used tires, in the presence of Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdulatif Al-Mashari.
The meeting discussed plans by relevant authorities to make optimal use of the waste through coordination between Kuwait Municipality, the Environment Public Authority (EPA), and the Public Authority for Industry (PAI), focusing on recycling, environmental protection, and creating new revenue streams for the state budget.
The meeting also reviewed the execution of new public cleaning contracts to ensure higher levels of public hygiene and safeguard public interest.
Diwan of the Prime Minister's Chairman Abdulaziz Dakhil Al-Dakhil attended the meeting, along with senior officials from Kuwait Municipality and other relevant authorities. (end) sar
