Hamas submits response to Gaza ceasefire proposal

GAZA, July 24 (KUNA) -- Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas on Thursday has confirmed submitting a formal response to the latest ceasefire proposal for Gaza.
Hamas submitted its response, and that of the Palestinian factions to the ceasefire proposal to the mediators, said a statement by the faction.
Palestinians hope that the talks, which have been held for weeks in the Qatari capital, Doha, will lead to a ceasefire agreement and an end to the 21-month-long war.
Meanwhile, a report by AFP said Hamas proposed amendments addressing critical issues, including the delivery of humanitarian aid, withdrawal zones for Israeli forces, and guarantees for a permanent halt to Israel's ongoing military onslaught. (end) wab.fs.hs
