BERLIN, July 17 (KUNA) -- The first round of political consultations between Kuwait and Latvia was held in the capital Riga, on Thursday.
A statement received by KUNA from the Kuwaiti Embassy in Germany revealed that the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations at all levels, especially the economic one, in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.
The statement added that the fields of logistics, technology, and food security were also discussed, in addition to key regional and international issues, as well as opportunities for cooperation in international forums.
The Kuwaiti delegation was headed by Sadiq Marafi, Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe Affairs, while the Latvian side was represented by Ivars Lasis, Latvia's Under-Secretary of State and Political Director.
The meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Germany Reem Al-Khaled and Latvia's Ambassador to the UAE and non-resident Ambassador of Latvia to Kuwait, Dana Goldfinca. (end) anj.ao
