US Pres. sponsors tech, energy investments in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON, July 15 (KUNA) -- Twenty leading technology and energy companies announced more than USD 92 billion of investments in Pennsylvania," Trump said on Tuesday during the inauguration of Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit.
"This is a really triumphant day for the people of the Commonwealth and for the United States of America," Trump said.
"I promised I would save the Homer City Power Plant that Biden's Green New Scam forced to shut down, and I'm pleased to report that with a USD 15 Billion dollar investment from Knighthead Capital Management, the Homer City site is being resurrected as the largest natural gas-fired power plant EVER in North America," Trump added.
"Today's commitments are ensuring the future is going to be designed, built and made right here in Pennsylvania and right here in Pittsburgh and, I have to say, right here in the United States of America," Trump said.
The Homer City Power Plant, formerly Pennsylvania's largest coal-fired power plant, is undergoing a significant transformation.
It's being redeveloped into a natural gas-powered facility, specifically a large-scale data center campus.
The site, now owned by Homer City Redevelopment, LLC, will be the nation's largest natural gas-powered data center, aiming to meet the growing demand for AI and high-performance computing. (end) rsr.mb
