ISLAMABAD, July 9 (KUNA) -- At least one woman was killed and three children were injured after militants carried out two quad copter attacks in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province bordering Afghanistan, said police on Wednesday.
The district police chief, DPO Saleem Abbas Kulachi told media that two quad copter incidents occurred in the Bannu district of KPK; the first of its kind by militants, and killed one woman while three children were injured.
He further said that another quad copter attack occurred where "terrorists" targeted the Maryan police station, damaging the infrastructure.
He confirmed that the police personnel remained safe in the attack, adding that "a search operation was underway in the area to track down the terrorists."
Earlier last week, at least five people, including a senior administrative official, were killed and 11 others wounded in a blast in Bajaur tribal district of KPK. (end)
