Bahrain condemns attacks on Qatar

MANAMA, June 23 (KUNA) -- Bahrain on Monday strongly condemned the attacks by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps that targeted the sovereignty of Qatar, considering it a flagrant violation of Qatar's airspace, as well as of international law and UN Charter.
Bahrain News Agency said the Kingdom assures that it stands by Qatar following the attack by Iran on its territory.
Bahrain also expressed its full solidarity with the State of Qatar, confirming the solidarity of the GCCC countries under these sensitive circumstances in the region, and the need to exert necessary efforts to exercise self-restraint, avoid escalation, and resolve all disputes through peaceful means.
The Qatari Ministry of Defense announced earlier that Qatari air defenses had successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting Al-Udeid Air Base, to say, "The vigilance of the armed forces, and the precautionary measures taken, the incident did not result in any deaths or injuries." The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation of the attack on Al-Udeid Air Base by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, considering it a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty, airspace, international law, and the UN Charter.
