AMMAN, May 27 (KUNA) -- King of Jordan Abdullah II on Tuesday underlined sustainable coordination between Arab countries and the European Union (EU) to achieve just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the bi-state solution.
The King of Jordan made the remarks during a phone call with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, which focused on the latest regional developments, the Royal Court said in a press release.
He also stressed the need to ratchet up international efforts to halt the war on the Gaza Strip, and commended European calls for ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid into all areas in the Gaza Strip, it said.
During the phone conversation, they looked into ways of promoting cooperation between Jordan and the EU, it said, pointing out the recently signed strategic and comprehensive partnership agreement. (end)
