KUWAIT, May 27 (KUNA) -- The Indian Prime Minister's Special Envoy Baijayant Panda said on Tuesday that India and Kuwait are tied with historical relations covering trade, economic and cultural domains.
The Indian envoy made the remark during a news conference organized by the Indian Embassy in Kuwait on the occasion of the ongoing visit by an Indian parliamentary and diplomatic delegation to Kuwait as part of a tour involving four countries in the region, including Bahrain.
He underlined that the State of Kuwait plays an exceptional role in the dissemination of peace and dialogue across the region and the world as part of its efforts to fight violence and regional and international challenges.
On the Indian community in Kuwait, he said they make up the largest community in Kuwait and enjoy the trust of the Kuwaiti society as they work in various sectors and contribute positively to promoting the national economy.
The Kuwaiti delegation on Monday met with Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Al-Mousherji and discussed ways to enhance the distinguished Kuwait-India relations across various fields. (end) yt.mt
