Arab Media Summit 2025 kicks off in Dubai
DUBAI, May 26 (KUNA) -- The Arab Media Summit (AMS) 2025, the largest media gathering in the Arab world, kicked off on Monday in Dubai with the participation of around 8,000 media professionals from the UAE and across the Arab world.
Kuwait is participating in the summit by the representative of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Minister of Information, Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
Running until 28th May at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the summit opened with the sessions of the Youth Media Forum. As it brings together ministers, prominent personalities, editors-in-chief, heads of media organizations, content creators, influencers, media technology experts, and academics from across the Arab world.
The event is focused on exploring future prospects for media development in the region.
In her speech, Vice President and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club Mona Al-Marri said that the Arab Media Summit is the product of youthful ideas that wanted to be under the umbrella of a leadership that has a passion for media and its development and affirms our leadership's constant keenness to ensure that media is a priority on Dubai's agenda.
On her part, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, Maryam Al-Mulla, stressed that the future of media in the Arab world is being shaped today by the young generation, stressing the importance of supporting emerging media talents and empowering them with the tools of creativity and development.
Meanwhile, the opening day's agenda includes the celebration of the Arab Youth Media Award (Ibda'a). The Summit's comprehensive agenda over its three days includes more than 175 main sessions and over 35 workshops presented by leading global media organizations and digital platforms.
More than 300 speakers from the region and the world are participating in the Summit's diverse sessions. The Summit is hosting guests and participants from 26 countries both in the region and globally. (end)
