Iraq: Airstrike kills two IS members in Salah Al-Din governorate

BAGHDAD, May 22 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced on Thursday the killing of two so-called Islamic State (IS/ Daesh) members in an airstrike carried out last Tuesday in Salah Al-Din Governorate, north of Baghdad.
In a statement, the command said that a security force from the Saladin Operations Command inspected a site in the Balkana Mountains that Iraqi fighter jets had bombed last Tuesday, finding the bodies of two IS members.
The command explained that the forces also found various weapons, logistical materials, mobile phones, and criminal evidence. (end) ahh.res
