Kuwait Cabinet holds weekly session

KUWAIT -- The Cabinet decided to name headquarters of the Directorate General of Nationality and Travel Documents after the late Suleiman Meshaan Al-Meshaan in appreciation of his tangible acts for overhauling the work systems at the nationality and passports section in the Ministry of Interior.
Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Saud Al-Omar briefed the ministers about the meeting between His Highness the Crown Prince with Microsoft's Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Judson Bezek-Althoff, during his visit to Kuwait, outcome of discussions the minister had held with the Microsoft the latter on implementing the strategic partnership for establishing a complete digital system, overhauling government services, creating a stimulating environment for innovation and investment, empowering national cadres through specialized courses in AI, cyber security and advanced technology.
The ministers were apprised with the regular report by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare regarding execution issues of the public housing services.
The Cabinet decided to task the housing authority, in collaboration with other government departments, to press ahead with the housing projects. (end) mk.rk
