GAZA, May 19 (KUNA) -- At least 136 Palestinians were killed and 364 others were injured by the Israeli occupation army in the past 24 hours, said Palestinian health authorities.
In a press statement, the authorities said several victims are still under the rubble and on the streets, as medical teams are unable to reach them due to the dangerous conditions and the lack of resources to evacuate them.
Death toll from the Israeli war since the beginning of the aggression, in early October, has risen to 534,75 martyrs, while the number of wounded has reached 121,398.
In a statement, Director of Medical Relief in Gaza Bassam Zaqout warned of the continued targeting of the medical system in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation forces.
Zaqout stressed that the attacks have contributed to putting many hospitals out of service, endangering the lives of many Palestinians, causing deaths and spread of diseases.
This came in response to the targeting of a number of hospitals in the past hours, including the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, the Indonesian, Al-Awda hospitals, and the Qatari Hospital for Artificial Limbs in the north of the Gaza Strip, which caused them to go out of service. (end)
