KUWAIT, May 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Foreign Ministry strongly condemned a recent massacre committed by Israeli occupying forces against innocent civilians in Gaza Strip and deliberate targeting of public property and hospitals in a blatant breach of international law, international humanitarian law and international legitimacy resolutions.
In a press release on Friday, the ministry renewed Kuwait's call on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to shoulder its legal and humanitarian responsibilities by halting the genocide against the Palestinian people, and bringing the Israeli occupation to accountability for its crimes against unarmed civilians and to ensure full protection for hospitals and medical facilities and aid delivery to the needy.
It also reiterated Kuwait's unwavering and principled stance supporting the Palestinian cause, the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights, along with its solidarity with the legitimate struggle for an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 border with East Jerusalem as its capital.
