Alnowair chief: initiative seeks to empower females for future leaders

By Khaled Al-Jalis KUWAIT, May 5 (KUNA) -- Alnowair initiative seeks to empower females to be leaders in the future and face their personal challenges, Chairwoman of Alnowair institution Sheikha Intisar Salem Al-Sabah said on Monday.
Speaking to KUNA at the closing ceremony of the initiative of Alnowair's team in its second edition, Sheikha Intisar added the trainees headed to purposeful theater to show their daily challenges.
She noted the initiative stressed joint collaboration and action with educational, national and societal institutions, referring that females had 36 training sessions totaling 97 hours over a whole year on boosting self-confidence.
The move featured 30 females aged 14-25 from nine schools and universities, in collaboration with some other institutions, Sheikha Intisar pointed out.
Meanwhile, Sheikha Bibi Al-Sabah, chairwoman of the United Real Estate Company which took part in the step, said supporting the team is part of the firm's unwavering belief in the key role of theater in developing skills and building an aware generation able to partake effectively in societal contribution.
Also Rayan Al-Makimi, a team's member, said participation has helped her change concepts about life and face her problems. (end) kmj.mwf.hm
