Russian President Vladimir Putin receives Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq
MOSCOW, April 22 (KUNA) -- Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov announced on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold high-level talks with Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq during the latter's official visit to Moscow.
The visit includes private discussions, expanded working sessions with both delegations, and a formal document-signing ceremony.
Peskov emphasized that the visit reflects a mutual commitment to building a comprehensive strategic partnership, and that discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, energy, transportation, and cultural exchange.
The leaders are also expected to explore joint projects in petrochemicals, maritime and air transport, including the possibility of direct flights to boost tourism and investment.
He added that the visit comes amid growing momentum in Russian-Omani relations and increased political coordination between the two nations. The two sides will also address regional and global issues, particularly efforts to stabilize the Middle East and strengthen dialogue amid ongoing geopolitical challenges. (end)
