ADEN, March 27 (KUNA) -- The Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen Hans Grundberg urged all parties to the conflict of Yemen to do their utmost to prevent return to all-out war.
It became clear, a decade into the conflict, that return to war could sever the interests of no party, he said in a press release on Thursday.
To establish peace and security in Yemen became a matter of urgency for not only Yemeni but the entire region, Grundberg stressed, noting that the only way to de-escalation is through dialogue and reciprocal commitments.
The UN Envoy called on regional and international actors to help the belligerent parties engage in a substantive dialogue to reach a peaceful and durable solution to the conflict. (end)
