Scores of Palestinians injured, detained at Al-Aqsa Mosque

RAMALLAH, April 15 (KUNA) -- At least 153 Palestinian worshippers were wounded and 450 others detained during Israeli forces storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on Friday. The Israeli occupation forces broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and fired live ammunition, tear gas and stun guns at crowds of worshippers there, Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said in a statement.

They detained nearly 450 worshippers and sent them to a detention center in Jerusalem.
They also targeted the medical staff and attempted to prevent ambulances' access to scored wounded people inside the mosque, according to the PRCS statement. Despite the Israeli repressive measures and brutalities, nearly 50,000 Palestinian worshippers stayed inside the Mosque and managed to perform the Friday Congregational prayer. (pickup previous) nq.gb
