MOSCOW, March 11 (KUNA) -- Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that their forces were able to take control of Volnovakha city, eastern Ukraine.
The Spokesman of Defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov said in a statement in a televised briefing that the Ukrainian military positions were destroyed in a high precision strikes.
He added that the Russian forces destroyed during the operations 3,213 military targets, downing 98 aircraft, 118 drones, 1,041 tanks, 113 rocket launchers, 389 artillery and 843 military vehicles.
Volnovakha is a small city in the Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine, which serves the administrative center of Volnovakha Raion. (end) as.gaa
