Defender intercepts the striker
KUWAIT, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- Al-Qadsia SC hammered Al-Yaremok 5-0 on Saturday, maintaining their lead in the 14th round of Kuwait Premier League, known also as STC Premier League.
The game, held on Peace and Friendship Stadium, saw Bader Al-Mutaw'e scoring the opener in the third minute before Ahmad Al-Thafeiri added a goal at minute 13.
In the second halftime, Lucas Gaucho scored the third goal at minute 60, three minutes before Al-Thafeiri scored his own second and his team's fourth goal.
Al-Mutaw'e doubled his own tally by scoring the fifth goal before the end of the game.
The result of the game pushed up Al-Qadsia's tally to 30 points while Al-Yarmok's froze at seven points.
The 14th round of the League pitted Kuwait SC against Al-Sahel in a showdown later this evening. (end)
