KUWAIT, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah on Sunday issued a decree on the distribution of all pharmaceutical preparations containing Pregabalin and Gabapentin.
Assistant undersecretary for pharmaceutical and food control at the Health Ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Bader told KUNA that the decree stipulates that these medicines should be distributed with a prescription specifying the name of the medicine with the name of the doctor and his signature.
Al-Bader explained that the drugs should be distributed for a maximum of 60 days in one prescription.
He stressed that these pharmaceutical preparations will be distributed only by specialists in Rheumatoid arthritis, psychological treatment, Diabetes and Endocrinology. (end)
