LONDON, March 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's embassy in the United Kingdom urged Kuwaiti citizens on Wednesday in various British cities to take precautions after unknown group published leaflets calling for harming Muslims.
In a statement, the embassy said British police has been working with an extensive investigation into the group behind such hate propaganda in British society.
The statement noted that this group distributed leaflets and targeted Muslim residencies in a number of cities, which called for punishment and abuse next on April 3rd, also the embassy called on citizens to exercise utmost caution and stay away from gatherings and communicate with the consular section of the embassy, which operates 24 hours on the local number there:02075903400
Earlier, British Member of Parliament (MP) Victoria Atkins Parliamentary under Secretary of State at the Home Office said she has recently condemned those behind a series of anti-Islamic speeches sent to a range of homes in various British cities.
Atkins described the messages as "repugnant" and stressed that the government would work hard to arrest them and bring them to trial.
A number of police stations across Britain confirmed reports on these leaflets to Muslim homes, noting a full investigation is taking place. (end)
