Cubical Services launches 3rd edition of Fikra startups incubator program

KUWAIT, Oct 1 (KUNA) - Under the aegis of Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of State for Youth Khaled Al-Roudhan, the Kuwaiti business incubator Cubical Services launched Sunday the third season of Fikra program for supporting young entrepreneurs.
Fikra is an intensive training program that aims to provide young entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to develop their ideas and create their own businesses, Director of Fikra Program at Cubical Services Mariam Al-Rayes said in a press conference held to announce the launching of the new edition of the program.
She went on to say that the business incubator program seeks to create a generation of local entrepreneurs to and help boost the national economy through the expansion of small and medium enterprises.
Those willing to benefit from the program services have to register on company's website from today to November 11, she said.
Al-Rayes said that the program, in the previous two versions, supported 30 business ideas, offered training to 48 entrepreneurs and held 37 workshops in addition to the administrative, financial and legal consultancy services.
She thanked the strategic partners, led by the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises.
For her part, Spokeswoman for the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs Esraa Al-Fadhala said that the ministry's participation in this program came from deep conviction that youth are the most important pillar in the state building.
She added that the support of the program is part of the ministry's strategy to build the capacity of young people to contribute to the national economy.
She pointed out that the ministry, since 2013, has backed about 1200 non-profit initiatives to encourage young people to launch their own businesses.
Cubical Services is a Kuwaiti company providing these much-needed services and helping startups in their early stages. The company was launched in 2009 to provide consultancy services about managerial development for small businesses in their early stages.
Reviewing, auditing, legal registration, technical support and management of mergers and acquisitions are some of the services this startup provides.
Backed by the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises, the Cubical Services has provided services up to 500 projects to date. (end) mam.tab.ibi
