Firefighters contain leakage of hazardous material at Shuwaikh Port

KUWAIT, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- A team of firefighters were able to control a leakage of hazardous material from a container in a customs area at Shuwaikh Port without any casualties, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) announced Monday.
The container, imported from Asia by way of a Gulf country, contained highly flammable and poisonous material, Director of Capital Governorate's Fire Department Mohammad Al-Shatti said in a statement to KUNA.
Moreover, he added that firefighters have removed the container due to the grave danger it poses. (end) asa.nam
