ISTANBUL, April 27 (KUNA) -- One person was killed and seven others wounded in a suicide blast took place on Wednesday at the entrance of a historic bazaar in Bursa in northwestern Turkey Wednesday, said security sources.
According to reports, the blast occurred near the historic Ulu Mosque, which is close to the bazaar.
The blast was carried out by a woman, 25, who blew herself up near the area, said Turkey's Ikhlas news agency, citing these sources, adding that investigations are still underway.
Ambulances rushed to the incident's place and transferred the wounded to hospitals.
The United States issued on Tuesday a warning to its citizens in Turkey about "credible" terror threats to tourist areas of the country. (end)
