Kuwaiti Embassy members in China receives members of the Kuwaiti cyclist group
(With Photos) BEIJING, JUL 7 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Embassy in China has received members of the Kuwaiti cyclist group, Husain Ashkanani, Ali Al-Bairami and Muhanad Al-Sultan in Beijing, which is the last stop on their Asian tour, the embassay said Tuesday.
Under the auspices of the Public Authority for Youth and Sport, the tour has taken them from Kuwait to Asia, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Nepal and China, the embassy said in a statement. A 50-day Asian trip is a part of their ongoing round-the-world journey, which will last about 120 days.
During the Asian journey, they faced many challenges and difficulties due to rugged mountain roads they passed through, especially when crossing the heights of the Himalayas, which has an altitude of 17,500 feet, in an oxygen-less environment, in addition to the lack of paved roads. Their adventure experience is posted on their Website http://www.ospkw.blogspot.com/ (end) mk.aj KUNA 071021 Jul 09NNNN
