Jordan to reassess relations with anyone especially with Israel

AMMAN, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- Jordanian Prime Minister Nader Al-Dahabi said on Sunday that his government retains all the rights and views all options available to reassess its relationship with anyone, "especially with Israel when such issue concerns the country's highest national interest." In a speech at a meeting with the Jordanian House of Representatives on the latest developments in Gaza Strip, Al-Dahabi said "the government is dealing with all the matters and developments on the basis of the national interest of Jordan and the Palestinian cause." Earlier, a number of Jordanian parliamentarians proposed a referendum for the government to cut ties with Israel immediately and to expel the Israeli ambassador from Amman amid ongoing Israeli brutal campaign against the Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
The memorandum which was signed by a number of MPs noted that the least of their "demands are to expel the Israeli ambassador from Jordan and the freezing of relations with Israel." (end) nas.mb KUNA 042151 Jan 09NNNN
