BAGHDAD, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Thursday
received the credentials of new Bahraini, Syrian and Jordanian ambassadors in
Baghdad.
During the credential reception ceremony, which was attended by Iraqi
Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, the Iraqi leader hailed Bahrain, Syria and
Jordan for sending their ambassadors to Iraq.
He stressed the importance of Arab support for his country, and joint Arab
action for developing relations with Iraq.
Talabani vowed to work hard to promote and develop cooperation with all
Arab countries in various domains.
For their parts, the new ambassadors of Bahrain, Syria and Jordan promised
that they would seek to deepen their countries' ties with Iraq.
Baghdad has been witnessing a growing Arab diplomatic representation thanks
to a recent improvement in the Iraqi security situation, and Iraqi yearning
for returning to the Arab space. (end)
