Prime Minister Hani Mulqi, during a meeting with Ferreira, discussed possibility of exporting Jordanian phosphate, potash and fertilizers to Brazil.
On Syria, Mulqi said Jordan has reached its maximum capacity due to the Syrian refugee crisis, which contributed to the increase of economic burdens in light of the absence of an adequate support from the international community.
The Brazilian top diplomat voiced his country's appreciation of Jordan's role in providing services to the Syrian refugees.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Ferreira discussed defense and security cooperation.
They underlined importance of concerted efforts to resolve Palestinian-Israeli conflict on basis of a two-state solution.
Safadi and his Brazilian counterpart also stressed importance of continuing to provide support to UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to enable the UN agency to continue providing vital services to Palestinian refugees.
They also discussed developments in Syria and its impact on Jordan, as the Kingdom was currently hosting 1.3 million Syrian refugees.
Both officials agreed on the importance of reaching a political solution to the Syrian crisis in accordance with UN resolution 2254 and through the Geneva process. (end) ab.bs
