Today in Kuwait's history

KUWAIT, March 2 (KUNA) -- 1991 -- UNSC issued resolution 686, which imposed specific terms on the Iraqi regime before the end of military operations leading to the liberation of Kuwait.
2006 -- Abulatif Al-Shaya passed away at age 85. He was a member of the municipal and Awqaf (endowment) councils in 1952 and 1955 respectively. He was also a member of Al-Ma'aref (experts) council in 1960.
2015 -- Kuwait and South Korea signed three agreements to boost diplomatic, health, and land transportation cooperation.
2015 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) signed a KD seven million agreement with Laos to develop an irrigation project in that country.
2017 -- Ministry of Water and Electricity approved power new tariffs in accordance with law 20/2016. The cabinet ratified the new decision.
2017 -- Kuwaiti Jockey Ali Al-Kharafi won first place in Qatar's Al-Shagab international equestrian tournament. (end) gta
