LONDON, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- The dependency on Kuwaiti youth's energy will increase in the upcoming years to achieve the goals of vision 2035, said Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan late Sunday.
Speaking to KUNA on the sideline of the annual conference for the National Union of Kuwaitis Students (NUKS) UK-Ireland branch, Al-Roudhan said that the youth were the backbone of the country's development plans, affirming that the state will provide all necessary assistance to realize the dreams of both the Kuwaiti youths and the people of the country.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry succeeded in amending several laws that facilitated procedures for those interested in launching private businesses, said the minister.
The period to attain a commercial license was shrunk down to around three days after it was between 60 to 90 days, said the minister, adding that the capital to launch any business was also brought down to KD 1,000 after it was at KD 10,000 previously.
He indicated that the number of licenses reached around 12,000 in 2017, a drastic improvement from 3,600 licenses in the past, said Al-Roudhan who affirmed that all these procedures were aiming at contributing positively to vision 2035. (end) kd.gta
