"Thank You 2" festival kicks off under auspices of His Highness Amir

KUWAIT, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Martyr Bureau's "Thank You 2" festival and exhibition kicked off Thursday at Al-Shaheed Park in Sharq area.
The event, billed as "we still owe it despite everything we have given" is sponsored by the Amiri Diwan.
Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah attended the festival on behalf of His Highness the Amir, and was received, upon his arrival, by Head of the Martyrs Bureau Fatima Al-Ameer.
Following the playing of the National Anthem, Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah toured the festival's exhibitions, including sections of state ministries and bodies.
The Martyrs Bureau expresses sincere gratitude to all of those who cooperated to revive the memory of the popular resistance movement in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion, the Amiri Diwan chief stated.
Kuwaitis' heroics have been recognized by the entire world, he said, adding Martyrs Bureau's visitors can see evidences of Kuwaitis' braveries during that particular period of time.
The Bureau is keen on executing orders of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and implementing all directions given to the Amiri Diwan with high efficiency, he affirmed.
Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah also lauded the significant efforts exerted by the Bureau's chief and staff in organizing such a benevolent event. (end) ma
