Saudi Arabia deeply concerned over situation in Syria's E. Ghouta

RIYADH, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia expressed deep concerns Thursday on the ongoing and increasing crimes of Syrian regime against the people of Eastern Ghouta.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), a source from the Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of sending in humanitarian aid as well as halting the Syrian regime's hostile acts against civilians.
The Syrian regime attitude goes against international efforts aimed at politically resolving Syria's crisis in accordance with the Geneva declaration and United Nations Security Council resolution 2254, the statement added.
Recent attacks in Eastern Ghouta had led to the death of hundreds of civilians including women, children, and the elderly. (end) mdm.hs
