ABU DHABI, Feb 20 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Salah Al-Buaijan hosted on Tuesday a celebration to mark his country's 57th Independence Day and 27th Liberation Day.
The celebration gathered UAE of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance Sheikh Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of Justice Sultan Al-Badi, and Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development Noura Al Kaabi as well as dozens of senior officials and UAE-based diplomats.
Speaking to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Buaijan said the large number of dignitaries in attendance at the reception signals the close relations between the State of Kuwait and the sisterly UAE and other friendly countries.
He expressed pride of the achievements made by Kuwait in the areas of economic development and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He extolled His Highness the Amir for his efforts to realize the aspirations of the Kuwaiti people, solve the Arab and Muslim problems and back the relief efforts for disaster-hit countries in the Middle East and beyond. (end) bsu.gb
