Israeli warplanes continue pounding Gaza Strip

GAZA, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- The Israeli Air Force continued attacking several sites across the eastern and southern parts of Gaza Strip on Saturday, inflicting heavy material damage on the targets and the nearby homes.
At least six targets, belonging to the Palestinian armed groups particularly Izz Ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, were hit by missiles from the Israeli fighter planes.
These include Al-Yarmouk and Tunis sites - to the east of Gaza city, Nitzarim - a former Jewish settlement in central Gaza Strip, Bani Sohaila area to the east of Khan Yunis and an observation site near Rafah city to south of the Strip, witnesses told KUNA this evening.
No casualties were reported from the attacks so far, spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry of Health Ashraf Al-Qordah said.
The Israeli warplanes are still intensively roaring in the skies of the besieged enclave.
The escalation followed Israeli military claim that four soldiers were injured in a roadside bomb attack near the southeastern borders of Gaza Strip earlier today. (pickup previous) wab.gb
