DUBAI, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- Bassel Salem Al-Sabah Motor Racing Club racer Fahad Al-Gharabally on Saturday ranked second in the fourth round of the UAE Sportbike Championship in the 600cc category held at the Dubai Circuit.
The came after a fierce competition over the first three positions in the contest which concluded today. Lebanese racer Mahmoud Taneer won the first position.
In a statement to KUNA, the Kuwaiti rider said that he finished the race at one minute and seven seconds, describing it as an "excellent timing." This achievement came to support his sports march in motor racing, he added.
He noted that he used to take part in the 1000cc category characterized by flexibility and simplicity.
He elaborated that the 600cc category is difficult to some extent compared with the 1000cc one.
Some of the most famous racers from several foreign countries took part in the tourney, he stated.
He thanked the club and bodies for their continued support, stressing his determination to continue making achievements in the next tourneys.
The UAE Sportbike Championship contains six rounds. It was set up in 2007 and is held every year in Dubai. (end) amr.hm
