Kuwait buries slain staff warrant officer - ministry

KUWAIT, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Defense announced Saturday that the martyr, Staff Warrant Officer Rakan Hadlan has been buried in Sulaibikhat cemetery in Sulaibikhat area.
The burial service was attended by Chief of the General Staff of Kuwait Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Mohammad Al-Khuder, members of the military defense council, senior military officers, and a large crowd, the ministry's directorate of moral guidance and public relations said in a statement.
Al-Khuder conveyed First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah's sincere condolences and sorrow to Hadlan's family.
The Chief of General Staff also presented, on himself and Kuwaiti army staff behalf, his sincere condolences and sorrow to the martyr's family.
He also prayed to Allah Almighty to place the martyr in his heavens and inspire his family with patience and solace.
A Staff Warrant Officer of the 35th Shaheed Armored Brigade, Hadlan was killed on Friday after his military vehicle flipped over while he was on duty.
The accident also injured his colleague Warrant Officer Malhan Nassar, who was transported immediately to Al-Jahra Hospital for necessary treatment. (end) ns.ma
