MUNICH, Germany, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah on Saturday discussed with a number of senior international officials bilateral ties, as part of the 54th Session of the Munich Security Conference . He held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq Nechirvan Barzani. The two officials discussed means of bilateral relations.
Then Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah held talks with former UN chief Kofi Annan and former UN envoy for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi on achieving peace and preserving human rights.
In another meeting, the Kuwaiti minister and Lebanese Defense Minister Yacoub Al-Sarraf touched upon brotherly relations between the two countries, and means of promoting them to serve in combating terrorism.
Finally, Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah held a meeting with South Sudan's First Vice-President Taban Gai in which they focused on enhancing bilateral ties.
The Munich Security Conference kicked off on Friday, in the presence of world leaders, premiers, and foreign and defense ministers, with the aim of addressing security challenges. (pickup previous) anj.hm
