Defense Ministry announces launch of military exercise

KUWAIT, Feb 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Defense Ministry on Friday announced that a military drill, in collaboration with some security agencies, kicked off Friday and runs until February 22.
The drill called "Beiraq 7" is carried out periodically to assess training and operation levels in all units, the Ministry's Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations quoted Colonel Mohammad Al-Kandari, responsible for operation and planning body, as saying.
The drill also aims to preserve the implementation of missions and duties of all military sectors, he added.
It seeks to boost joint cooperation and coordination as well as share expertise among all army's units and sectors taking part in the drill, he noted.
Al-Kandari called on land and sea-goers not to approach the military camps and gatherings at the training areas only for their safety. (end) ays.ms.hm
