KUWAIT, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Thursday a cable of congratulations from Deputy Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In the cable, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad expressed his sincere congratulations to His Highness the Amir on the success of the Kuwait International Conference on Reconstruction of Iraq (KICRI), held between February 12 and 14 in Kuwait with participation of several donor nations, regional and international organizations.
He also expressed pride and appreciation of Kuwait's initiative to host such an event, which reiterates the status of humanitarian efforts by its leadership, government, and people.
Holding the conference also confirms Kuwait's pioneering role in humanitarian action toward brotherly and friendly countries under the wise leadership of the "Humanitarian Leader" His Highness the Amir, added the Deputy Chief.
He also congratulated His Highness the Amir on the positive image displayed by Kuwaiti military personnel and participating civilians at the event, expressing his pride in their good conduct, well organization, and close cooperation that reflected Kuwait's civilized image among the guests.
The Deputy Chief also prayed to Allah Almighty to keep Kuwait as safe and secure place, and as a source of peace and goodness under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince.
In return, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of gratitude to Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, expressing his sincere appreciation to the National Guard Deputy Chief's good sentiments on KICRI's success.
His Highness the Amir also expressed his joy and pleasure AT the large turnout to the event and its fruitful outcomes, adding that the conference has met its objectives and would contribute significantly in reconstructing Iraq.
His Highness also expressed his appreciation to the participating countries, international organizations, NGOs, and hundreds of major global investment companies.
His Highness said that such a great international interaction has reflected Kuwait's important regional and international status.
