Shootout injures one man after vehicle hits NSA barrier in Maryland

WASHINGTON, Feb 14 (KUNA) -- One person was injured in a shooting Wednesday at a secure entry gate at the National Security Agency (NSA) in Maryland outside Washington, DC, police said.
Authorities surrounded a handcuffed man after a black SUV ran into a concrete barrier at the gate, police said. Route 32 was briefly closed during the investigation.
"The situation is under control and there's no ongoing security or safety threat," an NSA statement said.
Meanwhile, White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters said President Donald Trump has been "briefed on the shooting," and the White House offers thoughts and prayers to those affected. (end) rm.ma
