KUWAIT, Feb 12 (KUNA) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met on Monday with Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari on the occasion of his visit and participation in the International Coalition Against so-called IS and Kuwait International Conference for Reconstruction in Iraq (KICRI), hosted in Kuwait this week.
The two sides were briefed on the ongoing meetings regarding supporting the reconstruction of Iraq, headed by Kuwait, Iraq, UN, EU, and the World Bank.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled expressed Kuwait's keenness in supporting security and stability in the region, asserting on Kuwait's keenness to ensure success of KIRCI.
In turn, Al-Jaafari expressed appreciation to efforts exerted by Kuwait and its support for Iraq, including the initiative by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Sulaiman Al-Jarallah, Foreign Minister Assistant for Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Protocol Affairs, Ambassador Dhari Al-Ajran, Ambassador Ayham Al-Omar, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Saleh Al-Logani, and a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
