Two mild tremors jolt SW Iran

TEHRAN, Jan 21 (KUNA) -- A 4.3-magnitude quake shook Dogonbadan city in Gachsaran County, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, near the borders with Iraq, on Saturday evening.
Residents of the city felt the tremor at 20:17 local time, according to the Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University.
Earlier in the day, IRNA reported that a 5-magnitude quake, Richter scale jolted Sumar district in the western province of Kermanshah bordering Iraq at 1:47 local time.
The epicenter of the quake was registered at 45.59 degrees longitude and 33.72 degrees latitude at the depth of 10 kilometers underground.
The tremors resulted in no casualties or property damage.
Kermanshah has been shaken by several aftershocks of the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that hit on November 12, 2017, in Ezgeleh region, killing at least 620 people and injuring over 12,000. (end) fz.gb
