Russia to resume Moscow-Cairo flights

MOSCOW, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin approved on Thursday the resumption of commercial passenger flights between Moscow and Cairo.
According to Interfax news agency, the move provided for lifting of all restrictions on flights to Egypt.
Egyptian and Russian officials in December signed a protocol to allow direct Moscow-Cairo flights to resume in February.
Moscow imposed restrictions on flights to Egypt after an attack targeted a Russian passenger plane in the Sinai Peninsula in 2015 killing about 250 people. (end) as.msa
