Kuwaiti relief agency to support education in Yemen

RIYADH, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- Supporting education in Yemen was the focus of a key meeting held in Aden Thursday.
Member of the Kuwaiti-Yemeni Relief Agency Sheikh Abu Ismail Al-Qureshi held talks with the country's Minister of Higher Education Hussein Ba-Salama, a press statement said.
They reviewed Kuwait's help to Yemen through the aid agency, especially in education and higher education, it added.
The agency does not spare the least effort to provide health, food, sheltering and education assistance to Yemen as part of the "Kuwait by your side" campaign kindly adopted His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Al-Qureshi said.
He also expressed the agency's readiness to back education in Yemen according to the urgent needs and the proposals of the central and local bodies there.
For his part, the Yemeni minister said they have been facing huge difficulties after the ministry was moved to the temporary capital Aden amid the hard political and economic conditions in Yemen. (end) ad.msa
