Kuwaiti oil price down to USD 59.54 pb

KUWAIT, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti crude oil fell 85 cents yesterday (Thursday), settling at USD 59.54 per barrel (pb), compared to USD 61.39 pb last Wednesday, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said Friday.
At world markets, oil prices were up yesterday, buoyed by the closure of a main pipeline in Britain, in spite of forecasts of world crude supply surplus in the first half of next year.
West Texas crude surged by 44 cents to settle at USD 57.04 pb, while Brent crude hit USD 62.44 pb on Wednesday. (end) osj.mt
