Saudi Arabia condemns suicide bombing in Somalia

RIYADH, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia on Thursday strongly denounced the suicide bomb attack on a police training camp in Somalia's capital city of Mogadishu.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed in a statement the Kingdom's solidarity with Somalia against terrorism and extremism, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The statement expressed Saudi Arabia's condolences to the families of the victims, and to the Somalian government and people, wishing those injured a speedy recovery.
A senior Somali police officer confirmed that at least 11 policemen were killed earlier in the day after a suicide bomber had blown himself up inside the training camp.
Extremist group al-Shabaab claimed its responsibility for the attack. (end) od.hm
